When you use Roast My Deck, we collect:

• Account information: Your name and email address from your Google account when you sign in.
• Pitch deck files: The PDF or PPTX files you upload for analysis.
• Analysis results: The investment analysis report generated from your deck.
• Usage data: Timestamps, IP addresses, and basic request metadata for security and rate limiting.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and provide the analysis service.
• To generate an investment analysis report from your pitch deck.
• To send you an email when your report is ready.
• To review your deck internally and contact you if we believe there is a potential fit for our fund.
• To protect the service against abuse (rate limiting, security monitoring).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Roast My Deck:

• Google OAuth: For authentication. Google receives your sign-in request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: For database and file storage. Your deck and account data are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Anthropic (Claude): For generating the analysis. Extracted text from your deck is sent to Anthropic's API for processing.
• Resend: For sending email notifications when your report is ready.
• Vercel: For hosting the application.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information, uploaded decks, and analysis reports indefinitely unless you request deletion. Rate limiting records are automatically purged after 24 hours.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side file validation, input sanitization, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at navot@groundup.vc. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
